THE IDEA

We Care We Share Community Enrichment Programs Inc. (WCWS) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization in Durham, NC committed to improving the quality of life for families and their communities through outreach programs. Betty Marrow-Taylor co-founder reached out regarding utilizing a website gift certificate Exert 360 raffled off at a charity event in Durham, NC. She wanted a website that captured all the great programs WCWS were undertaking in Durham and the surrounding area and highlighted what residents, businesses, and organizations could do to help. Exert 360 agreed to conduct a website and social media assessment to see current efforts, and from there developed a strategy to relaunch a more robust website to be the anchor point of all the community efforts. I site that Ms. Marrow-Taylor could be proud to share with current and potential supporters.

THE CHALLENGE

The goal of WCWS is to share resources, build community partnerships, and to provide programs and services that educate, empower, and enhance the quality of life for families in the local & surrounding counties. Based on findings, Exert 360 needed to launch a new website focusing our efforts on robust content to promote programming, impactful imagery (to highlight children, seniors, and families), search engine optimization, and highlighting three-way to help efforts (cash and small goods donations, and volunteering).

THE PRODUCT

Website: https://www.wecare-weshare.org

We designed a gorgeous, rich, easy to navigate website focused on delivering WCWS messaging and building rapport with potential donors. Site visitors can easily find the organization’s background and history, board members, and current sponsors. From the home page, visitors can familiarize themselves with active programs and also clearly see the highlighted hero program of the quarter. Much of the work was done to highlight ways to donate and increase volunteers. We created two additional ways for people to donate via Amazon Wishlist and Amazon Smile and made it simple for folks to volunteer after viewing each program. We also integrated an Instagram widget into the website to deliver fresh imagery as new outreach efforts happen.

RESULTS

A gorgeous, easy to navigate website ready to attract potential donors and volunteers. The site is robust enough to educate visitors on the core program outreach of WCWS and also inviting enough to make them want to help. We truly enjoyed creating this website and helping to make our local community aware of the great work being done by We Care We Share.
